‘Own the Light’ is our end of year exhibition.
Since September of last year I have been working hard towards gaining my BTEC National Diploma Level Three.
Hopefully with only three units to go which all have to be in this week, I will not only pass, but have enough decent grades, i.e distinctions and merrits, to be able to apply for university in 2016.
It has been a remarkable journey for me, learning to respect and listen to my tutors and meeting many new faces along the way who I hope that we can all stay in touch.
I was one of the lucky few who was accepted by Kensington and Chelsea College on their photography courses, skipping level one and going straight to level two. With the help of my tutor I was able to prepare a portfolio and apply for level three for which I was accepted.
Since september it has been madness. I have had joyful times, times where I wanted to quit, (anything digital scared the life out of me!) and times where I learnt a lot about not only photography but also myself as a person. Bruce said right at the beginning that for nine months we will not have a social life or family life. I thought he was joking, but he was correct, he owned us for these last nine months, but I wouldnt change it for the world, but I also wouldnt do it all again.
I would like to say a big thank you to all my tutors who have stood beside me on my journey:
Take a look at our catalogue and feel free to view all of our hard work.
